Best Pro Skate Shoes of 2022
If you’re looking for skate shoes, you’re in luck! Right now is a great time to easily find high quality shoes to roll around in. Many of the shoes offered in skateboarding are heritage models, such as Nike SB Blazers or Vans Skate Old Skool shoes, but only a prestigious few have the honor of receiving their own pro skate shoe. We decided to give these select few skaters some shine and chose the five best pro skate shoes out in 2022.
Nike SB Ishod Pro Shoes
It should be no surprise that Ishod Wair’s debut Nike SB pro shoe made this list. As a former Thrasher Skate of the Year winner, Ishod has proven time and time again that he is one of the most gifted skateboarders and deserves a pro shoe from The Swoosh. Ishod’s Nike SB pro model takes inspiration from ‘90s basketball shoes, including the Nike Air Darwin that uses the same backwards swoosh logo that the Ishod has.
What makes the Ishod Pro shoe special?
- Inspired by basketball shoes from the ‘90s.
- Reverse Nike Swoosh logo on shoe.
- Breathable vented frame panel.
- Comfortable Nike React foam insole for skating anything from curbs to stairs.

Vans Skate Half Cab Shoes
It’s amazing to think that Steve Caballero’s Half Cab shoe on Vans has been a part of skateboarding culture for 30 years now. Caballero’s first pro model shoe on Vans was originally a high-top, but as street skating progressed in the early ‘90s, skateboarders began to cut down their Caballeros to a mid-top size. Once Cab saw this, he knew it was time to switch things up. After a discussion with Vans, the Half Cab was born. 30 years later, the Half Cab can still be seen on the feet of skateboarders at parks, ramps, and street spots.
What makes the Vans Half Cab shoe special?
- One of the most influential skate shoes of all time.
- Newly renovated by Vans and now titled the “Skate Half Cab”.
- Vans Duracap rubber inlays in high wear areas prevent blowouts.
- Extra deep tread in Vans waffle outsole, creates longer lasting wear and less slip on the bottom of the shoe.
And there it is! Five pro model skate shoes that will serve you well. Of course there are plenty of other skate shoes to choose from. Explore our wide variety of shoes and find the one that’s the best fit for you.
