Jeff Grosso
Born April 28th, 1968, in Arcadia, California, Jeff Grosso started skating when he was 5 years old, and by the age of 12, was already making a name for himself skating contests in the SoCal area. Rising to prominence throughout the 80s, Grosso became one of the biggest names in skateboarding and is celebrated for the foundational impact he's had on it. From his time skating for companies like Santa Cruz, Powell, Schmitt Stix, Black Label and his appearances in classic videos like "Future Primitive" and "Streets on Fire," to his more modern iconic Anti Hero shapes and graphics, Grosso's influence and impact on skateboarding is difficult to truly put into words. Beyond his years of skating comps and appearing in epic videos, Grosso became a historian and advocate for skating, hosting the popular "Loveletters to Skateboarding" series on YouTube, where he highlighted skateboarding's history and its unsung heroes across 10 seasons and 146 different episodes. Sadly, Grosso passed away in 2020, leaving behind an enduring legacy and unforgettable impact on the skateboarding world.
