Daewon Song
Born February 19, 1975, Daewon Song has spent over 30 years as a pro and is maybe the most technically gifted skateboarder of all time. Daewon could be seen for most of his early career skating around Southbay, California, and was featured in '90s videos like World Industries' Love Child, to more recent videos for Adidas. In 2006, Daewon won Thrasher Magazine's Skater of the Year award, and in 2017 he was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame. Around 2018, Daewon co-founded Thank You Skateboards with Torey Pudwill and in 2019 a Transworld documentary called DAEWON was released about his life and is a highly recommended watch. Daewon is by far one of the most fun skaters to watch, and continues to be a force of inspiration and innovation for skaters of all ages and styles everywhere.
