Rodney Mullen

Rodney Mullen is undoubtedly near the top of the list when it comes to most influential skateboarders ever. Born August 17, 1966 in Gainesville, Florida, Rodney not only became one of the top freestyle skateboarders of his time but also an early innovator of flip tricks. Widely regarded as the Godfather of modern street skating, the list of tricks he has invented is too long to list here, but here's a small sample...flat ground ollie, kickflip, heelflip, 360 flip, and impossible. Rodney continued freestyle skating under Powell-Peralta in the '80s, until he made the transition to street skating, riding for companies like World Industries and Plan B. Rodney now resides in Hermosa Beach, California and co-founded Almost Skateboards and Tensor Trucks.
